MIDDLETOWN, RI -- Swecoin US named Elaine A. Bresnick president and Jon Poignant chairman of the board, according to a company news release.

Bresnick has been with Swecoin US Inc. for nearly eight years as vice president of sales and marketing. As president, Bresnick will be responsible for company direction, sales and marketing efforts, and overall product strategy.

"I am honored to be named President of Swecoin US Inc.," said Bresnick. "The self-service market has gone through incredible changes in the last few years and Swecoin continues to stand out as the industry leader in direct thermal printing solutions. As President, I will be responsible for sustaining that leadership position and exploring new market opportunities for the company. I am looking forward to the challenge."

Poignant has been president of Swecoin US Inc. since its founding in 1992. Under his leadership, the company has grown from a small start-up to a successful private corporation.

As chairman of the board, he will continue to consult with Elaine on company strategy and also focus his energies on management in the European and Asian markets.

"I have absolute faith in Elaine's leadership and know that with her at the helm, Swecoin will continue to enjoy the same successes it has known under my leadership," said Poignant. "Elaine and I have worked together for many years, and I trust her implicitly to both continue and expand on my efforts as president of Swecoin."
