Ministry in Qatar sets up self-service kiosk for general public

• 31 Mar 2010

The (Qatar) Peninsula reports that The Information System Department of the Ministry of Interior has installed a self-service kiosk at the Landmark Mall to help Qatari Smart ID cardholders make inquiries and complete transactions 24 hours, seven days a week. The machine can be used to renew residence permits in addition to other functions and services, such as issuing exit permits for minor family members abroad, paying traffic fines, enquiring about traffic violations and renewing airport e-gate cards for completing exit and entry procedures.

The Ministry has plans to install more kiosks in other commercial centers throughout Qatar.
