ISign Media Solutions to integrate wireless tech into IBM AnyPlace Kiosks

• 20 Jan 2010

Ontario-based iSign Media Solutions Inc. today announced a new partnership with Skipton Group Inc. to integrate iSign’s Bluetooth OEM software into IBM’s AnyPlace Kiosks.

Skipton is a leading provider of of IBM's AnyPlace Kiosk and retail Point-of-Sale systems, and plans to integrate iSign's patent pending messaging and data retrieving Bluetooth enabled software into the kiosks, enabling them to deliver digital coupons, receipts and product information to customer's smartphones and handheld devices within a defined proximity to the machine.

"Our partnership will result in a much more versatile kiosk service offering, providing convenience to shoppers and valuable data capture and management capabilities to retailers — similar to current solutions in development for the Asian and European marketplace," iSign CEO Alex Romanov said in a company release.
