FutureLogic’s rugged KBM2-60 direct thermal printer improves on the KBM-60 by offering a more feature-rich unit in a smaller and lighter package. As with all KBM units, the KBM2-60 is built specifically for high-reliability, harsh outdoor kiosk applications such as gas pumps, parking and transit pay stations. While competitive products are limited to a range of approximately 0°C to 50°C, FutureLogic’s KMB2-60 can operate at temperature ranges between -30°C to +70°C.
The printer is made for use with 60mm wide paper stock, can be mounted either horizontally or vertically, and features both manual and automatic paper loading options. Featuring extended print head/paper cutter life and other reliability enhancements, all models provide 7-inch paper rolls, auto cutters, passive chute presentation and page printing mode. Paper advance, cutter activation, error/status indicators, and the option to print multiple copies are standard features.
The printers can be easily upgraded through a Windows-compatible communications interface without the need to remove the printer. Other features such as integrated sensors to indicate paper jams, paper out, paper low help reduce downtime and streamline operations.
